Security Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable platform services using DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS, while driving automation, compliance, and continuous improvement for mission‑critical systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain secure, highly available platform services on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Design and enforce DevSecOps pipelines that integrate security testing, compliance checks, and automated remediation across the CI/CD lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define security requirements, perform threat modeling, and conduct risk assessments for new features and deployments.
- Lead incident response and post‑mortem activities, providing root cause analysis and actionable improvements to platform resilience.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams on best practices for secure coding, configuration management, and cloud operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, or related roles within high‑security environments.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD), and AWS services (EKS, S3, IAM, KMS).
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, with experience automating security controls and compliance checks.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks) and experience implementing them in cloud architectures.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
