Lead senior hardware engineer responsible for high‑performance digital and mixed‑signal hardware development, FPGA/ASIC design, and compliance with aerospace standards using VHDL, PCB layout, and C++.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex digital and mixed‑signal hardware systems for aerospace applications.
- Develop and verify FPGA and ASIC solutions using VHDL/Verilog, including simulation, synthesis, and hardware bring‑up.
- Create and review high‑speed PCB layouts, ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and compliance with DO‑254 standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (software, systems, test) to define requirements, perform trade studies, and integrate hardware into full system solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, establish best practices, and drive technical excellence across the hardware development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of hardware design experience.
- Expertise in FPGA development, VHDL/Verilog coding, and hardware verification methodologies.
- Proven experience in high‑speed PCB design, signal integrity analysis, and DO‑254 (or similar) compliance.
- Strong programming skills in C++ for hardware‑software integration and test automation.
- Active Secret DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one upon hire.
