About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, integration, and validation of EO/IR sensor architectures for high‑performance surveillance and targeting systems.
- Develop and implement advanced image processing and machine‑learning algorithms to enhance target detection, classification, and tracking.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements, conduct trade studies, and drive technical solutions that meet mission objectives.
- Oversee prototype development, laboratory testing, and field validation, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and security protocols.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in EO/IR system development, with a strong background in signal processing and machine‑learning techniques.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and MATLAB for algorithm development and simulation.
- Demonstrated experience with radar and sensor fusion technologies in a defense environment.
- Active U.S. Secret clearance required; ability to obtain and maintain security clearance is mandatory.
