About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the specification, design, implementation, testing, and validation of advanced power system protection schemes for high‑voltage networks.
- Develop and maintain protection coordination studies, relay settings, and fault‑analysis models using MATLAB/Simulink and industry standards.
- Collaborate with SCADA and PLC teams to integrate protection logic into control systems, ensuring compliance with IEC 61850 and other regulatory frameworks.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical reviews, and provide subject‑matter expertise on protection strategy and equipment selection.
- Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and in technical publications, promoting best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in power system protection engineering, with a strong background in relay design and fault analysis.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, PLC programming, and SCADA integration.
- Deep knowledge of IEC 61850, IEEE protection standards, and protection coordination methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of leading technical teams and presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences.
