Senior Power System Engineer - Forecasting and Dispatch - Power and Water Corporation

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑fidelity load forecasting models to support day‑ahead and real‑time dispatch decisions.
• Operate and optimize SCADA and energy management systems, ensuring reliable data acquisition and system integrity.
• Collaborate with grid operators to analyze power flow, contingency studies, and reliability metrics.
• Lead troubleshooting of forecasting anomalies and implement corrective actions to improve model accuracy.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power system forecasting, dispatch, or grid operations.
• Proficiency in SCADA platforms, power flow tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerFactory), and scripting with Python.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
