Software Engineer
Senior engineer leading HV/EHV/UHV power system studies for renewable generation, data centres and critical infrastructure, using load‑flow, short‑circuit, stability and transient analysis tools such as PSS®E, DIgSILENT, MATLAB and Python.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive power system studies—including load flow, short‑circuit, voltage stability and transient analysis—for renewable energy projects, data centres and mission‑critical facilities.
- Develop and validate network models for HV, EHV and UHV transmission systems using PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and custom scripts.
- Perform system resilience assessments, fault level calculations, and coordination studies to support grid connection and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with civil, mechanical and control engineering deliverables.
- Prepare technical reports, presentation decks and client‑facing documentation that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with extensive experience in power system analysis.
- Proficiency in industry‑standard tools such as PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB and Python for scripting and automation.
- Strong knowledge of HV/EHV/UHV network design, protection coordination, and grid code compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex studies, mentor junior engineers and manage client interactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering clear technical documentation.
