Job Summary
We are hiring a Senior Power BI / Fabric Developer with strong experience in semantic modeling, advanced DAX, Power Query, and Databricks integration.
The successful candidate will develop enterprise dashboards, reports, and semantic models using Databricks SQL Warehouses and Delta Lake as primary data sources. This role requires strong experience in Power BI governance, security, performance tuning, and production deployment.
Mandate Skills
- Deep Power BI (semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query) + Databricks SQL/Delta Lake connectivity
- Governance/security experience (RLS, OLS, sensitivity labels)
- Performance tuning chops (DAX Studio, VertiPaq, Tabular Editor)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
- Translate business KPIs and reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Build semantic models using star schemas, conformed dimensions, reusable measures, and clearly defined business logic.
- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculation groups, time-intelligence logic, and Power Query transformations.
- Connect Power BI with Databricks SQL Warehouses, Delta Lake tables, and governed views using Import, DirectQuery, and composite models.
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize SQL queries, gold-layer datasets, data quality, and business-rule consistency.
- Improve report and model performance using DAX Studio, Performance Analyzer, Tabular Editor, VertiPaq Analyzer, aggregations, and incremental refresh.
- Implement row-level security, object-level security, workspace permissions, and sensitivity labels.
- Manage Power BI workspaces, apps, semantic models, refresh schedules, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
