Lead security hardening and vulnerability remediation for a large OpenStack/Ceph cloud platform, ensuring robust Linux fleet protection and audit readiness while driving continuous infrastructure improvement.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security hardening across the Linux fleet and OpenStack control plane.
- Track and remediate vulnerabilities from discovery through closure, coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
- Serve as the primary engineering partner for internal and external security audits, preparing documentation and evidence.
- Collaborate with platform engineering to embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Monitor security events, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend proactive improvements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Linux system administration and hardening techniques.
- Proven knowledge of OpenStack and Ceph architecture and security.
- Hands‑on expertise in vulnerability management tools and remediation workflows.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and audit processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
