Lead the design and operation of scalable data platforms on SAP BTP, driving Big Data solutions with Java, Python, and Kubernetes in a cloud‑native environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain high‑availability data pipelines and services on SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Implement and optimize Big Data workloads using Hadoop, Spark, and related technologies.
- Containerize and orchestrate microservices with Kubernetes, ensuring secure and efficient deployments.
- Collaborate with data scientists and application teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and continuously improve platform reliability and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or data engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python for data processing and service development.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP BTP, Big Data ecosystems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and container security.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
