Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of SAP Big Data Fabric solutions on cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security for enterprise data services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement SAP Big Data Fabric services on cloud environments (AWS/Azure), leveraging Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
- Collaborate with data engineering and application teams to integrate Big Data Fabric with SAP and non‑SAP workloads, ensuring seamless data flow and performance.
- Design and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, applying advanced analytics and Python scripting for automation and anomaly detection.
- Lead capacity planning, cost management, and security hardening, ensuring compliance with enterprise governance and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native big data solutions.
- Proficiency in SAP Big Data Fabric, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services (AWS or Azure).
- Hands‑on experience with IaC, CI/CD, and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Solid understanding of data architecture, security, and performance tuning in distributed environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for cross‑functional teams.
