About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Develop and manage Terraform modules for infrastructure as code, ensuring repeatable and auditable deployments.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitOps principles, integrating automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce DoD‑grade security controls, vulnerability management, and incident response procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in platform reliability and observability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps roles within regulated or defense environments.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, and container runtimes; hands‑on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, with a track record of automating complex workflows.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) and security scanning (Snyk, Trivy).
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
