Senior Platform Engineer - inversion
Devops Engineer
Lead the design and integration of high‑performance aerospace platforms, developing embedded software, real‑time control loops, and ground‑support tools using C++, Python, and Linux for rapid, on‑demand space logistics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain embedded flight software for reusable re‑entry vehicles operating under extreme thermal and mechanical loads.
- Design and implement real‑time control algorithms, sensor fusion, and fault‑tolerant systems to achieve sub‑hour global payload delivery.
- Collaborate with hardware, propulsion, and mission teams to define system requirements and verify integration through hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
- Build and support ground‑segment tools, simulation environments, and automated test frameworks using Python and Linux.
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes, code quality, and reliability metrics across the platform lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development for aerospace or high‑performance real‑time systems.
- Proficiency in C++ (modern standards) and Python for low‑level control and high‑level tooling.
- Strong knowledge of real‑time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, RTLinux) and Linux kernel development.
- Hands‑on experience with hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, sensor integration, and high‑speed data acquisition.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work cross‑functionally, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of space logistics.
