Data Engineer
Senior People Data Engineer who designs and builds scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric, integrating Workday and other enterprise sources to deliver secure, reusable data products for analytics, reporting, and AI.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load People data from Workday and other internal/external sources.
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric to build scalable, secure data models and curated datasets for analytics, reporting, and AI workloads.
- Implement robust ETL processes, ensuring data quality, lineage, and documentation for downstream consumption.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reusable data products.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize for reliability and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on People/HR data.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Synapse).
- Hands‑on experience integrating Workday data and building secure data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL best practices, and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
