About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to identify coding gaps, volume trends, and documentation opportunities for physicians, hospital coding teams, and external providers.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau to track key performance indicators and support decision‑making.
- Collaborate with mid‑revenue cycle teams to design and implement process improvements that enhance coding accuracy and documentation quality.
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis using SQL and Python to uncover root causes of inefficiencies and recommend actionable solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders, translating complex data insights into clear, actionable strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis within a healthcare revenue cycle or clinical documentation environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau for data extraction, manipulation, and visualization.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, coding standards, and clinical documentation improvement principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
