Senior Operations Data Analyst who partners with Army Medicine leadership to turn operational requirements into data‑driven insights, dashboards, and decision‑support tools using Python, SQL, and modern visualization platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior Army Medicine leaders to define analytics requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards and reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and models using Python and SQL to ensure high‑quality, timely data for operational decision‑making.
- Create interactive visualizations and self‑service analytics solutions in Tableau and Power BI that support readiness, performance, and efficiency metrics.
- Conduct advanced statistical and predictive analyses to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities across Army/DOD operations.
- Establish data governance standards, perform data quality audits, and implement automated validation processes.
- Mentor junior analysts, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement of the analytics function.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence within a defense, healthcare, or large‑scale government environment.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Expertise in building dashboards and visualizations with Tableau and Power BI.
- Strong foundation in statistical methods, predictive modeling, and data storytelling.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to senior leadership and non‑technical stakeholders.
