Security Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM integrations across hybrid cloud environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain next‑generation firewall architectures (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) to protect corporate networks.
- Implement and manage IDS/IPS and VPN solutions, ensuring secure remote access and threat detection.
- Integrate and tune SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) for real‑time monitoring, log aggregation, and incident response.
- Collaborate with cloud teams to secure AWS and Azure workloads, applying best‑practice network security controls.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and remediation planning.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and documentation, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in network security engineering, preferably in a hybrid or multi‑cloud environment.
- Deep knowledge of firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, VPN technologies, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) for log analysis, alerting, and incident handling.
- Experience securing cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure) and implementing network‑level controls.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
