Security Engineer
Senior Network Security Engineer (L2) responsible for monitoring, investigating, and resolving security incidents across client infrastructures, leveraging firewall, IDS/IPS, and SIEM technologies to maintain robust protection and rapid incident response.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats.
- Investigate and triage security incidents, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to contain and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain firewall rules, IDS/IPS signatures, and SIEM correlation rules to strengthen client security postures.
- Document incident findings, root causes, and corrective actions in detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, ensuring 24/7 coverage for critical security incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network security engineering or related field.
- Proficient with firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and IDS/IPS solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical details to non‑technical stakeholders.
