Systems Engineer
Lead design, deployment, and support of client network and server environments using Cisco, Windows, Linux, and VMware technologies, while ensuring security, performance, and reliability in a fast‑paced managed services setting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain client network and server infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and virtualized environments.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco IOS devices, Windows Server, Linux servers, and VMware ESXi hosts.
- Implement security controls, monitoring, backup, and patch management to meet SLA requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions, document configurations, and provide technical guidance to clients.
- Utilize PowerShell and Bash scripting to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network and systems engineering within an MSP or similar environment.
- Proficiency with Cisco IOS, Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and basic AWS services.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
