Senior Naval Architect leading design and support for complex maritime projects, leveraging advanced CFD, structural analysis, and CAD tools to deliver innovative, compliant solutions across defence, energy, and resource sectors.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the naval architecture design process for multi‑disciplinary maritime projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements.
- Develop and validate hull forms, stability, and structural integrity using advanced CFD and finite element analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate design solutions into production schedules.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor junior naval architects and support continuous improvement of design workflows and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of naval architecture experience in defence or commercial maritime sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA), CFD (e.g., ANSYS, CFD-ACE+), and structural analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of marine regulations, classification societies, and shipbuilding processes.
- Excellent communication, project management, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel and work across multiple project sites.
