Database Administrator
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for enterprise applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage SQL Server instances across on‑premises and cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain high‑availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, mirroring, and log shipping.
- Monitor performance, analyze bottlenecks, and apply tuning techniques to optimize queries and server resources.
- Plan and execute backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Enforce security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployments and database migrations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2017/2019).
- Strong knowledge of T‑SQL, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
- Hands‑on experience with Always On, replication, and backup/restore operations.
- Familiarity with Azure SQL Database and related cloud services is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
