Systems Engineer
Lead the design and integration of complex defense systems using MBSE, ensuring architectural integrity and traceability from requirements to deployment across DoD mission areas.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and validate system designs using MBSE tools, ensuring alignment with DoD standards and mission objectives.
- Lead reverse engineering efforts to analyze legacy systems and integrate new components.
- Maintain end‑to‑end traceability of requirements, design, and test artifacts throughout the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system interfaces, performance metrics, and integration plans.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on MBSE best practices and digital engineering workflows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering for defense or aerospace environments.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Enterprise Architect) and digital engineering platforms.
- Strong background in reverse engineering, system architecture, and traceability management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Experience with DoD acquisition processes and compliance standards.
