NewDay has a fresh approach to financial services – we’re seeking to be a different kind of company, with a dedicated objective: to help people move forward with credit. We have an existing and successful Data Science capability, and we are now looking to add a new purpose built, safe and flexible production Machine Learning platform.
MLOps Engineers will develop the delivery templates for all ML services and help establish a culture of craft within Machine Learning operations at NewDay. We are revolutionising the way the consumer lending experience works, come and help us create tomorrow!
What you will be doing day-to-day?
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for Machine Learning that ensure high quality and high flexibility delivery
- Write Python modules & libraries that are used by the ML producing teams within the business
- Complementing Data Scientist mindset; infusing your engineering perspective into their practice
- Researching the latest trends in MLOps, trying out new services and integrating valuable additions to the stack
- Being a key part of a balanced team with abilities across the full ML lifecycle
Your Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL
- Degree in quantitative field, ideally Computer Science or related areas
- Strong Python programming skills
- Production Machine Learning Experience
- Software delivery experience, covering areas such as: testing lifecycle, continuous integration/delivery and source control management
- Experience working with AWS cloud services
- Knowledge and experience using containerisation; principally Docker
- Proficient in *nix environments including shell commands and scripting
- Knowledge of InfoSec principles and practices
Desirable
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code in either: Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.
- Python library development
- Open source contributions
- MLOps experience
