About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimisation of underground mine plans using 3D modelling tools.
- Oversee drilling, blasting, and mucking operations to maximise ore recovery while ensuring safety.
- Coordinate with geotechnical, environmental, and production teams to meet project milestones.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and progress updates for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive mine engineering experience, preferably in copper or multi‑metal projects.
- Proficiency in 3D mine design software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine).
- Strong knowledge of drilling, blasting, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
