Lead the localization of Blizzard® games into Mexican Spanish, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and high-quality QA across all game assets and marketing materials.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and adapt game scripts, UI, subtitles, and marketing content into Mexican Spanish, maintaining brand voice and tone.
- Collaborate with localization project managers, developers, and QA teams to deliver linguistically accurate and culturally appropriate content.
- Perform rigorous proofreading and quality assurance checks on all localized assets, identifying and resolving linguistic inconsistencies.
- Provide linguistic expertise on regional slang, idioms, and cultural references to enhance player immersion.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of style guides, glossaries, and terminology databases specific to the Mexican market.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish (native Mexican) and English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- 5+ years of professional translation/localization experience, preferably in the video game industry.
- Strong understanding of localization workflows, CAT tools, and QA processes.
- Detail-oriented, with a passion for gaming and a deep appreciation for cultural nuances.
