Senior Mechanical Engineer – A&D leading mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing for semiconductor equipment, ensuring compliance, quality, and lifecycle excellence using CAD, FEA, and robust project management.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design of subsystems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Develop and validate detailed CAD models and perform FEA to meet design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (electronics, controls, manufacturing) to integrate mechanical solutions into product development.
- Drive compliance with industry standards (ISO, IPC, SEMI) and maintain rigorous documentation and quality control.
- Mentor junior engineers, review work, and provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or high‑precision equipment design.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection, and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
- Experience with compliance standards (ISO, IPC, SEMI) is highly desirable.
