About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual and detailed design of engine fuel and lubrication systems for marine propulsion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and performance targets.
- Utilize CAD tools to create accurate 3‑D models and assemblies, integrating multidisciplinary inputs and maintaining design integrity throughout the development cycle.
- Conduct advanced FEA and CFD analyses to predict structural integrity, thermal behavior, and fluid dynamics, iterating designs to optimize performance and durability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing protocols, including bench, sea, and accelerated life tests, to validate design assumptions and meet safety and reliability criteria.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless transition from prototype to production, addressing any design‑to‑manufacturing challenges.
- Document design decisions, test results, and compliance evidence, preparing technical reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and development within the marine or high‑performance engine sector.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent), FEA (ANSYS, Abaqus), and CFD (Fluent, CFX) software.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of translating complex requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management abilities, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
