Senior MCU System Engineer Power Management / Sleep Wakeup - 42dot
Systems Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of power‑management and sleep‑wake logic for high‑performance MCU‑based zonal controllers in automotive SDV environments, optimizing low‑power modes and ensuring reliable network integration.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the Power State Machine for zonal controllers, covering Initialization, Normal, Sleep, Standby, and Shutdown states.
- Architect low‑power mode entry/exit scenarios, minimizing dark current and quiescent power consumption.
- Develop system sleep/wake‑up logic and integrate with network management protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Create and maintain hardware abstraction layers and system platform components for ARM Cortex‑M/R multi‑core MCUs.
- Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams to validate power‑management solutions in real‑vehicle environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in embedded software development for automotive or similar safety‑critical domains.
- Strong background in vehicle communication systems using CAN/CAN‑FD, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Deep knowledge of ARM Cortex‑M/R architectures and multi‑core MCU design.
- Hands‑on expertise in low‑power design, power‑state management, and hardware abstraction.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
