Systems Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and validating DeltaV batch control systems to optimize manufacturing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a biopharmaceutical environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and commission DeltaV batch control systems for new and existing biomanufacturing lines.
- Develop and maintain PLC logic, HMI screens, and SCADA interfaces to support robust process automation.
- Lead process validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot control issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field) with 7+ years of experience in batch control systems.
- Proficiency with Emerson DeltaV, PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), and HMI/SCADA development.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and process validation standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, solve complex control problems, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments is preferred.
