About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the reliability and availability of mission‑critical financial‑crime systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud infrastructure, implementation of automation frameworks, and adoption of modern DevOps and SRE practices.
- Partner with senior technology leaders, CIOs, and infrastructure teams to define and execute roadmaps for observability, incident response, and capacity planning.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, mentorship, and operational excellence.
- Develop and enforce standards for monitoring, alerting, and post‑incident analysis to reduce mean time to recovery.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large, regulated environments.
- Deep expertise in DevOps and SRE methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated remediation.
- Proven track record implementing observability stacks (metrics, tracing, logging) and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
