Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Full Stack - Capital One

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a cross‑functional full‑stack engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Architect, design, and deliver scalable cloud‑native applications using Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and AWS services.
• Own the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle, ensuring high quality, security, and performance through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive Agile delivery using Jira, establishing clear roadmaps, sprint goals, and metrics to track progress and outcomes.
• Partner with product, data, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions that create measurable customer value.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on full‑stack development experience, with deep expertise in Java and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Node.js).
• Proven leadership of engineering teams in an enterprise setting, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Strong background in cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated testing suites.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and Jira administration, with a track record of delivering large‑scale projects on schedule.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of aligning technical strategy with business objectives.
