Software Engineer
Lead a cross‑functional team to design, build, and operate data and AI platforms that enable oncology research and drug development, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the strategy for oncology data pipelines and AI/ML infrastructure supporting drug discovery and clinical development.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions.
- Architect and maintain cloud‑based platforms (e.g., AWS) for data ingestion, storage, processing, and model deployment.
- Collaborate with oncology scientists, clinical operations, and regulatory teams to translate research needs into technical requirements.
- Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and reproducibility across the oncology portfolio.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD, MS, or equivalent) in a quantitative field such as bioinformatics, computer science, or biomedical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience building data pipelines and AI/ML solutions in a life‑science or healthcare setting, preferably oncology.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) for data engineering and model deployment.
- Strong knowledge of oncology data types (clinical, genomic, imaging) and regulatory/compliance standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and project‑management skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
