The Senior Manager, Finance Operations and Data will oversee the end-to-end transactional finance operational lifecycle, encompassing the Billings, Collections, Accounts Payable, and Finance Data Operations teams. Providing leadership, structure, and consistency, this role ensures accurate, timely, and optimized financial operations. This position is accountable for aligning and optimizing processes, driving process optimization and automation with AI integration, fostering team development, and driving operational excellence to support healthy working capital management.
What You'll Do:
- Fully own the accounting and financial reporting for the Company's equity and stock-based compensation, including liability-classified securities.
- Provide team leads and managers with guidance on escalations, process improvements, and the implementation of uniform and complete financial procedures.
- Drive daily operations across Billings, Collections, Accounts Payable, and Finance Data Operations.
- Champion and drive the implementation of finance operations automation while leveraging AI tools/capabilities and data warehouses (such as BigQuery) to optimize workflows, enhance data accuracy, and reduce manual processing
- Monitor and report on both key operational and working capital metrics (e.g., DSO, DPO) and also finance data governance metrics (e.g., data accuracy/completeness between SalesForce, billing engine, subscription databases, etc.) to assess the health, progress, and accuracy of transactional workflows.
- Mentor and develop functional managers and their teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Treasury, Accounting, Tax, and IT/Systems teams, to ensure seamless financial integration, data integrity, and operation.
- Identify and implement best practices for financial operations and data management.
- Drive a high control environment, similar to a SOX or other high control process, including mapping of processes, identifying risks and relevant controls.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements across all AP and AR processes.
What You Have:
- 10+ years of experience managing financial operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billings) and finance data functions, with a proven track record in leadership.
- Chartered Accountant CA(SA) designation or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience implementing large-scale finance technology solutions or ERP transformations.
- Experience in using Lean or Six Sigma (or similar methodologies) to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies in operational finance processes.
- Background working in a complex, multi-national corporate environment.
