Software Engineer
Lead a team responsible for end‑to‑end data stewardship of transaction data, driving data quality, governance, and analytical solutions using SQL, Python and modern ETL practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full data lifecycle for M&A, offerings, spin‑off, buyback and bankruptcy transaction data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data governance frameworks and stewardship processes across the Global Markets data ecosystem.
- Lead a team of data stewards and analysts to develop, document, and enforce data standards, metadata, and lineage tracking.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and vendor teams to onboard new data sources, define ingestion pipelines, and resolve data quality issues.
- Drive analytical initiatives by building SQL queries, Python scripts, and ETL workflows that support business insights and reporting.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data management within a financial services environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands‑on experience designing and operating ETL pipelines and data quality frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex data projects.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of influencing stakeholders on data standards and best practices.
