Lead a high‑impact Data Science team driving demand‑planning models for TurboTax’s expert network, blending advanced forecasting, statistical modeling, and cloud analytics to optimize resource allocation and operational excellence.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team of data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy production‑grade forecasting models for expert network demand.
- Own the full model lifecycle: data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment on AWS.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering stakeholders to translate model insights into actionable supply‑chain strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy through experimentation, A/B testing, and advanced statistical techniques.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational constraints.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS services (SageMaker, Redshift, EMR).
- Deep expertise in time‑series forecasting, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume consumer or e‑commerce environment is a plus.
