Senior Machine Learning Scientist - Lytx

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize deep‑learning and computer‑vision algorithms for driver behavior and environment analysis.
• Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and software teams to define requirements, data pipelines, and deployment strategies.
• Conduct full model lifecycle work: data collection, annotation, training, validation, performance tuning, and production deployment.
• Improve model accuracy, inference speed, and scalability while reducing latency and computational cost.
• Stay current with state‑of‑the‑art research and integrate novel techniques to maintain industry leadership.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a focus on Machine Learning or Computer Vision.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building and deploying deep‑learning models in production, preferably using Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong background in computer‑vision techniques (object detection, segmentation, video analytics) and deep‑learning architectures.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization/orchestration tools for scalable model serving.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work cross‑functionally, and a track record of publishing or presenting research findings.
