Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Public Sector
Averity is seeking its first Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build and lead a new MLOps team. This fully remote role involves establishing ML infrastructure, deploying models, and building new models from scratch, heavily utilizing Databricks, Delta Lake, and MLFlow.
As the first Senior Machine Learning Engineer on a newly created MLOps team, you will be instrumental in building this team around your expertise. This is a fully remote position at a Mission-Driven Healthcare focused company, recognized as a leader in their space.
Your primary focus will be on building the ML infrastructure and deploying machine learning models. While several models are already in place, you will also be responsible for building numerous models from scratch. As our first Machine Learning Engineer, you will establish the foundations of our MLOps practice. We are currently heavily using Databricks and will soon transition to using the Databricks Data Lakehouse Platform (Delta Lake) and MLFlow. You will report directly to the Director of Data Science and collaborate closely with the Data Science team. Your expertise will shape the team's direction, and you will be a key member in scaling the team to 3-4 engineers within the next 12-24 months.
