Senior Machine Learning Engineer II - General Motors (GM)

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement novel machine learning models for autonomous vehicle perception, including custom CNN architectures and loss functions.
• Own the full ML lifecycle: data collection, labeling, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment in production environments.
• Collaborate with robotics and software teams to translate operational problem statements into scalable ML solutions.
• Integrate Generative AI techniques to augment training data and enhance model robustness.
• Optimize models for real‑time inference on embedded hardware, ensuring latency and accuracy targets are met.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production‑grade ML systems for perception or related domains.
• Strong background in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and experience with CNNs and Generative models.
• Proficiency in Python, data pipelines, and model deployment tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle or robotics applications is a plus.
