About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and production‑grade machine learning pipelines for large‑scale biological datasets.
- Collaborate with computational biologists and data scientists to translate research questions into predictive models.
- Deploy models on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with data governance.
- Optimize model performance through feature engineering, hyper‑parameter tuning, and advanced deep learning techniques.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best‑practice guidelines for ML workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building ML solutions in a research or pharma environment.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and data engineering tools (SQL, Pandas, Spark).
- Strong background in deep learning for genomics, proteomics, or related life‑science domains.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (SageMaker, EC2, S3, Lambda).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
