Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Artificial Intelligence - Bloomberg

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production‑grade ML models focused on transformer‑based language understanding and vector‑search capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI features into customer‑facing products, ensuring scalability and high performance.
• Implement end‑to‑end pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Optimize model inference and storage using dense vector databases and efficient indexing techniques.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in ML engineering, code quality, and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in transformer architectures and large language models.
• Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow), and experience with vector database technologies (e.g., FAISS, Milvus).
• Solid software engineering skills: version control, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a track record of delivering production‑ready AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
