Senior Linux System Administrator / Engineer - Quevera

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and tune enterprise Linux servers supporting national‑security workloads.
• Design, deploy, and maintain VMware virtual infrastructure, including vSphere clusters and networking.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible, Bash, and Python to streamline provisioning, patching, and configuration management.
• Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls in accordance with DoD/NIAP standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to troubleshoot complex incidents and improve system reliability.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and 5+ years of hands‑on Linux administration experience.
• Strong expertise with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and related networking/storage technologies.
• Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible) and scripting languages (Bash, Python) for large‑scale system management.
• Deep understanding of security best practices, SELinux, and vulnerability mitigation in high‑security environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced engineering team.
