Systems Engineer
Senior Linux DevOps Engineer responsible for administering enterprise Linux environments, automating infrastructure with Ansible, and building high‑availability services using HAProxy, NGINX, and modern monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize enterprise Linux systems across multiple data centers, ensuring uptime, performance, and compliance with security standards (SELinux, firewallD, OpenSCAP).
- Deploy, configure, and maintain critical Linux‑based services including HAProxy and NGINX, focusing on high availability and scalability.
- Design, implement, and operate monitoring, alerting, and logging pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Sensu, and OpsGenie.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of infrastructure as code with Ansible.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to integrate best‑practice hardening, patch management, and incident response processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing enterprise Linux environments in production.
- Strong expertise with Ansible for IaC and configuration management.
- Proficiency in designing and operating monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Sensu) and log aggregation (Loki).
- Deep knowledge of web‑service load balancers and reverse proxies such as HAProxy and NGINX.
- Solid understanding of Linux security mechanisms, including SELinux, firewallD, and OpenSCAP compliance tooling.
