Senior infrastructure leader responsible for designing, building, and operating enterprise‑scale Hyper‑V clusters across global data centers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for thousands of workloads.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Hyper‑V cluster architectures across multiple global data‑center pools, including WSFC, live migration, and Storage Spaces Direct.
- Lead cross‑functional teams—engineering, operations, security, and capacity—to deliver resilient, high‑performance virtualization services.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling using PowerShell and Azure services to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Define and enforce best practices for security, patch management, and disaster recovery within the virtualization environment.
- Mentor senior engineers, conduct design reviews, and drive continuous improvement of infrastructure processes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Windows Server and Hyper‑V infrastructure design and operations.
- Deep expertise with Windows Server Failover Clustering, Storage Spaces Direct, and live migration technologies.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and experience automating workloads with Azure (e.g., Azure Site Recovery, Azure Automation).
- Proven ability to lead large, distributed technical teams and collaborate with security and capacity stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and performance tuning in enterprise data‑center environments.
