Senior specialist responsible for SAP Basis operations, IT service management, and cloud infrastructure support, ensuring high‑availability, performance, and compliance across enterprise SAP landscapes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain SAP Basis environments (ECC, S/4HANA, BW) on‑premise and in cloud platforms.
- Lead incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL/ITSM best practices.
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for Linux/Windows servers and associated databases (Oracle, SAP HANA).
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to implement upgrades, patches, and migrations while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and documentation to streamline routine operations and support compliance audits.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP Basis administration and related middleware.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration and database management (Oracle or SAP HANA).
- Proficiency in IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and experience handling large‑scale incident and change processes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for SAP workloads and automation tools (Shell, PowerShell, Ansible).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication ability, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
