Systems Engineer
Lead a team of engineers to design, deploy, and secure IT systems across corporate and customer sites, driving automation, best practices, and compliance with stringent security standards using Python, AWS, Linux, and advanced automation tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross‑functional engineering team to design, implement, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure across corporate and customer environments.
- Architect and deploy secure, high‑availability systems on AWS, leveraging EC2, RDS, S3, and IAM best practices.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines using Python, Terraform, and Ansible to accelerate delivery and reduce manual effort.
- Ensure all systems meet rigorous security compliance requirements (NIST, DoD, ISO 27001) through continuous monitoring and vulnerability management.
- Mentor junior engineers, establish engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in IT systems engineering with a focus on cloud and enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Python, Linux administration, and AWS services.
- Strong background in automation, configuration management, and DevOps practices.
- Experience implementing security controls and compliance frameworks in a defense or regulated industry.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to lead technical teams.
