Senior Business Analyst bridging Finance and Technology, leading financial reporting, close, reconciliation and control initiatives using SAP, Hyperion, SQL and Power BI.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance leadership to define reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain financial reporting solutions in SAP and Hyperion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for month‑end and quarter‑end close.
- Build and automate data extracts, transformations, and visualizations using SQL and Power BI to support reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Identify, document, and remediate control gaps, driving process improvements and compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide ongoing support and training to end‑users, creating documentation and best‑practice guides.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance business analysis or financial systems implementation.
- Strong expertise with SAP Financials and Hyperion (Essbase/Planning) modules.
- Proficient in SQL query writing and data manipulation for reporting purposes.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, VBA) and experience building dashboards in Power BI.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities, with a focus on bridging finance and IT teams.
