Data Engineer
Senior IT Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Python, SQL, and AWS services to enable data-driven decision making across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load large volumes of data from diverse sources into data warehouses.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to define data models, schemas, and performance requirements.
- Implement and maintain data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Leverage AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda) to build scalable, cost‑effective data infrastructure.
- Document data flows, architecture decisions, and best practices for future reference and compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with ETL frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS data services and cloud architecture.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
