Software Engineer
Senior specialist responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, optimizing asset data in the CMDB, and driving process improvements using ITIL best practices and automation tools such as PowerShell in a SaaS/cloud environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end IT asset lifecycle management, including procurement, inventory, licensing, and disposal across a global environment.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate, real‑time asset data.
- Implement and enforce ITIL‑based processes for asset tracking, change management, and compliance reporting.
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to streamline asset discovery, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with security, operations, and finance teams to align asset data with vulnerability management, cost optimization, and audit requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams and MSP partners on asset management best practices and tool usage.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT asset management or related ITSM roles, preferably in a SaaS or cloud‑focused organization.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and hands‑on experience managing a CMDB (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation of asset discovery and reporting tasks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and managing assets in virtualized environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
