Implementation Engineer
Senior Integration Engineer leading design, development, and maintenance of healthcare data exchange solutions using APIs, HL7/FHIR standards, Java, and AWS cloud services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable integration solutions for claims, eligibility, and payment workflows using RESTful APIs and industry standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Develop, test, and maintain Java‑based services and micro‑services deployed on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Build and optimize data pipelines (ETL) to move and transform large volumes of healthcare data between on‑premise systems and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams to define integration requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Implement security, compliance, and monitoring best practices to meet HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in integration engineering, preferably in healthcare or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with API design (REST/SOAP) and messaging protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare data standards.
- Proven expertise deploying and managing services on AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.).
- Solid SQL skills and experience building ETL pipelines for large data sets.
