Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure for high‑throughput sequencing data pipelines on AWS.
- Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment of pipeline components.
- Collaborate with bioinformatics and data science teams to optimize performance and reduce latency in real‑time pathogen detection.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and conduct capacity planning to support growing data volumes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps for data‑intensive applications.
- Proficiency with Python, AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD) and automated testing.
- Experience with high‑performance computing concepts and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
