Devops Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, and automation tools to support mission‑critical defence systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage highly available infrastructure on AWS and hybrid environments, ensuring compliance with defence security standards.
- Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters, container registries, and CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable application delivery.
- Implement and enforce network segmentation, firewall rules, and VPN solutions to protect sensitive data and communications.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and incident response.
- Provide 24/7 on‑call support, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis for production incidents.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on cloud (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Deep knowledge of networking, security best practices, and compliance frameworks relevant to defence and aerospace.
- Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation/scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring/alerting platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and log management.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work in a high‑security environment.
